COMPANY

OVERVIEW

Eppley is an investment company that originates and invests in credit, mezzanine and real estate opportunities. We do so on our own account and on behalf of our investors in our funds.  Eppley invests primarily in Jamaica and through our subsidiaries across the Caribbean and Central America. Our shareholders and investors are regional conglomerates, pension funds, insurance companies, development banks, high net worth investors and our own directors and managers. Eppley is domiciled in Jamaica and its shares are listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

HISTORY

We were founded in 1973 as Orrett and Musson Investment Company Limited. Until 2011, we were a subsidiary of General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Limited. In 2013, we changed our name to Eppley Limited and listed our shares.

INVESTMENT STRATEGY

Access to capital in the Caribbean and Central America is low. Access is constrained by impediments that are specific to the region and are structural in nature. These impediments make the region’s capital markets inefficient. These inefficiencies create situations where returns can exceed the risk of loss. Eppley’s strategy is to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns by exploiting these inefficiencies across credit, mezzanine and real estate asset classes.
